TERMS_OF_SERVICE
EFFECTIVE DATE // 2026-03-29
These terms govern your use of UCP. They are intentionally concise and written in plain language. If something is unclear, email us.
ACCEPTANCE
- —
By accessing or using UCP (Unified Contribution Portal), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
- —
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
ELIGIBILITY
- —
You must be at least 13 years old to use UCP. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are under the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, you must have verifiable parental or guardian consent.
THE_SERVICE
- —
UCP aggregates GitHub contribution metadata (dates and daily counts) from multiple GitHub accounts into a single unified heatmap.
- —
You may optionally create a public profile URL to share your contribution record with employers or clients.
- —
The service requires a GitHub account. Authentication is handled via GitHub OAuth.
- —
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice.
ACCEPTABLE_USE
- —
You may only connect GitHub accounts you own or have explicit authorization to use.
- —
You may not use the service to misrepresent contribution activity, fabricate contribution records, or deceive employers.
- —
You may not attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, or abuse the service in a way that disrupts access for others.
- —
You may not use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of GitHub's Terms of Service.
PERSONAL_ACCESS_TOKENS
- —
When you provide a GitHub Personal Access Token (PAT), you grant UCP a one-time right to use it to fetch contribution metadata on your behalf.
- —
PATs are never stored. They are used once to contact the GitHub API and then discarded from memory. You are responsible for managing and revoking your own tokens.
- —
We strongly recommend using fine-grained PATs scoped to read-only access.
YOUR_DATA
- —
You retain ownership of all data associated with your account.
- —
By using the service, you grant UCP a limited license to store and display your contribution metadata for the purpose of operating the service.
- —
You may delete your data at any time by disconnecting accounts or deleting your profile.
- —
Public profiles are visible to anyone with the URL when you have enabled public access.
DISCLAIMER
- —
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT CONTRIBUTION DATA WILL BE COMPLETE OR ACCURATE.
- —
Contribution counts are sourced directly from the GitHub API. We are not responsible for discrepancies in GitHub's data.
LIMITATION_OF_LIABILITY
- —
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, UCP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
- —
Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which is $0 for free users).
- —
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (c) any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable data protection law, including liability under GDPR Article 82; or (d) any other liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law.
GOVERNING_LAW
- —
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. If you are accessing the service from another jurisdiction, you are responsible for compliance with local laws.
